According to the director Peyton Reed, Kang’s arrival in Ant-Man threequel has “a profound impact on the MCU.” Speaking to the Empire, Reed told “Jeff Loveness, who wrote this movie, is writing The Kang Dynasty as well, so there’s been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang The Conqueror makes. There are big things in store.”

In the film, Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

The film stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/Wasp, Michael Douglas as Doctor Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang/Stature, Jonathan Majors as Nathaniel Richards/Kang the Conqueror, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Bill Murray as Krylar, and Michael Peña as Luis.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit theaters on February 17, 2023.
