After losing at UFC 264, Conor McGregor had surgery on his fractured leg and explains his rehabilitation plan

Following a horrific loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, Conor McGregor completed a successful 3-hour surgery on his broken leg on Sunday.McGregor’s (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) trilogy battle with Poirier (28-6 MMA, 20-5 UFC) was cut short in the first round of the lightweight contest at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas when the former two-division champ broke his left lower tibia and fibula after a failed punch. Poirier was declared the winner by TKO when “The Notorious” was unable to continue into the second frame. In the aftermath of the fight, McGregor was carried out of the octagon on a stretcher and rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles for surgery.
