Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat will be composing the original and background score for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Barbie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
Barbie is based on an eponymous fashion doll line by Mattel. The film is directed by Greta Gerwig from a screenplay with Noah Baumbach. The film also stars America Ferrera, Simu Liu as another Ken, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
Alexandre Desplat will also score Rebecca Miller’s ‘She Came To Me’ starring Anne Hathaway. The film is expected to be released next year.
Alexandre Desplat is a French film composer, he won two Academy Awards for the films The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Shape of Water. he also won many awards. Desplat’s work includes The Imitation Game, Moonrise Kingdom, Argo, Rise of the Guardians, Zero Dark Thirty, The Midnight Sky, Godzilla, Philomena, Unbroken, The Secret Life of Pets, Isle of Dogs, and The French Dispatch.
Barbie will hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
