Finally the filming of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘ wrapped. The director James Wan announces the official wrap through his Instagram post. Also shared a new photo with Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson. Also, Wan praised his crew and cast for the hard work they made. Read his words below

A THOUSAND THANK YOUs to all the incredible crew who worked so hard and tirelessly on this picture. Especially the UK portion where we shot 95% of the film. Truly some of the finest artisans and craftspeople I’ve had the good fortune to work with. And big shout-outs to the amazing Hawaiian and Los Angeles units.

I have a very long way to go before it will be ready, but I can’t wait to share this little film with you all.

The sequel of Aquaman (2018) follows a When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis, and the world, from irreversible devastation.

On June 28, 2021, James Wan announced on Instagram that the filming of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ begun. Back in October at DC Fandome Event, a first look for the film was revealed. The complete shoot for the film wrapped within 7 months.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard as Princess Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane/Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Prince Orm Marius, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Vincent Regan as King Atlan, Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin, Indya Moore as Karshon, and Jani Zhao as Stingray. Additionally, Pilou Asbæk has been cast in an undisclosed role.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘ is scheduled to hit the theaters on December 16, 2022.
