E3 2021 will be a completely virtual and reinvented internet event, taking place June 12-15. New video game announcements, trailers, release dates, and more will be available from Nintendo, Xbox, Bethesda, Square Enix, Sega, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, Capcom, and others.
Avatar: Pandora’s Frontiers, a first-person action-adventure game set in James Cameron‘s Avatar universe, has been released by Ubisoft. The game’s central conflict was highlighted in a new video, which focused on human-Navi air-to-air combat.
The game was first unveiled in February 2017, and we now know it was made with Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, which is the same technology that powers The Division. Massive Entertainment, in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney, is working on the game.
“Play as a Navi and go on a quest through the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen area of Pandora,” according to Ubisoft in the game’s description. Explore a live, dynamic environment filled with unusual species and fresh personalities, all while fending against the GDR’s strong troops.
The release date is set for 2022. The game is being developed for the PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox One. It’ll be accessible on Stadia and Luna as well.
