Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) throws a fan girl’s phone into the water for asking for a selfie with him in the Dominican Republic. According to a fan, the girl already had a photo with him and kept insisting, and was heard saying, “It doesn’t matter, we still love you.” Check out the footage below.
On December 2, a fan was attempting to take a selfie with Bad Bunny, but he took the phone from her hands and threw it into the water, leaving her shocked. Shortly after the incident, the video goes viral on social media.
On Twitter, Bad Bunny responds to the incident with an apology but also a defense of his actions. He tweeted, “The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect. Those who come to put a phone bastard in my face I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect and I will treat it likewise.”
In response to Bad Bunny’s harsh behavior, a Twitter user (Felix Portes) stated, “Bad Bunny’s behavior with a fanatic is very unpleasant. Very bad handling of the situation. Obviously, the fanatic was overjoyed but snatching her cell phone and throwing it away is not a gentleman, much less a professional artist accustomed to the fanatics.”
Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican rapper, has won two Grammys, four Latin Grammys, eight Billboard Music Awards, and thirteen Premios lo Nuestro awards. He won Artist of the Year at the 2022 Apple Music Awards. Bad Bunny has sold 5 million albums globally.
