Sony confirmed that the release date for ‘Bullet Train‘ starring Brad Pitt has been pushed from its original release date to a new release date. The slot changed two weeks from July 15 to July 29. The action thriller will now open with Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. The release date was pushed because of the high competition behind Thor: Love and Thunder (hits theaters on July 8). Now, Bullet Train opens opposite Paramount’s animated action-comedy Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (hits theaters on July 22) and Focus Features’ Vengeance (hits theaters on July 22).
Directed by David Leitch, who is best-known for Deadpool 2 and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, it’s based on a popular Japanese novel by author Kotaro Isaka. The film follows five assassins who find themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are not unrelated to each other.
Joining Brad Pitt, the other cast includes Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Zazie Michael Shannon, Andrew Koji, and Benito A Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny).
