Brie Larson shared a new photo of The Marvels‘ villain Zawe Ashton in a recent Twitter post. Both Wearing a Villain Lovers Club sweatshirt, Larson said Marvel fans to start the theories about the new film.
Larson’s Carol Danvers’ first appearance was in Captain Marvel (2019). and the appeared in Avengers: Endgame to help the team defeat Thanos before appearing in the mid-credits scene for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Captain Marvel got very average and mixed reviews from the release, Disney confirmed a sequel of Captain Marvel in San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. The film will be directed by “Candyman” remake director Nia DaCosta.

The Marvels cast includes Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Zawe Ashton has been cast in an undisclosed villain role. It’s reported that the sequel will take place in “the present day”, which we can assume will be the present day of the current MCU. After the events of Avengers: Endgame and its five-year time jump.
Filming on the sequel reportedly wrapped at the end of November and is set to hit theaters on 17 February 2023.
