The upcoming Creed III will not feature Sylvester Stallone. Rumors of his absence began to circulate after he replied to an Instagram user who seemed to confirm his absence. Stallone’s representative confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he will not appear in the MGM boxing film, but provided no further details.In the previous two films, Stallone reprised his iconic role of Rocky Balboa as a mentor to Michael B. Jordan’s character, Adonis “Donnie” Creed. Stallone was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Creed in 2015. Creed II, which was released in November 2018, was the sequel to that film. Both films in the Creed franchise have been box office and critical successes.
Jordan’s directorial debut, Creed III, is set to be released on November 23, 2022.Stallone fans, on the other hand, have plenty to look forward to, as the actor recently revealed that the recut of Rocky IV is over. In a social media post accompanying the announcement, Stallone said, “I’m feeling fine about this.”
