Darren Aronofsky’s ‘The Whale’ France Release Date Announced

The Whale

Darren Aronofsky’s ‘The Whale‘ starring Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, and Hong Chau will release in France on February 22, 2023.

The film centers on a 600-pound (272 kg) middle-aged man named Charlie (Fraser) who tries to reconnect with his 17-year-old daughter. The two grew apart after Charlie abandoned his family for his gay lover, who later died. Charlie then went on to binge eat out of pain and guilt.

Brendan Fraser, who comeback after a long break will receive TIFF Tribute Award for The Whale. “It’s gonna be like something you haven’t seen before,” Fraser told Unilad of the film last year. “That’s really all I can tell you. The wardrobe and costume were extensive, seamless, and cumbersome. This is certainly far removed from anything I’ve ever done but not to be coy… I do know it’s going to make a lasting impression.”

The Whale stars Brendan Fraser as Charlie, Sadie Sink as Ellie, Hong Chau as Liz, Samantha Morton as Mary, Ty Simpkins as Thomas, and Sathya Sridharan.
