Will the Twilight Saga Pair reunite?
Speaking to World of Reel, David Cronenberg says the possibility of making a film with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Cronenberg told “It was Robert who actually introduced me to Kristen. They have developed beautifully, separately, as actors. Making arthouse movies and successfully carrying that off. Kristen and I had a great time and Rob and I had a great time. For me, yeah, I can definitely think of a movie or idea, that would be great to have them both together. I don’t want to get into it because it wouldn’t be my next movie, however, it might be problematic since fans might expect a certain kind of relationship and that would get in the way of creating new characters for them. So, I have a strange feeling that might be problematic, so it’s only theoretical for now.”
David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the Future follows, “As the human species adapts to a synthetic environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations. Accompanied by his partner, celebrity performance artist Saul Tenser showcases the metamorphosis of his organs. Meanwhile, a mysterious group tries to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next phase of human evolution.”
The film stars Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux and Kristen Stewart. The film has the same title as a 1970 film by Cronenberg but it is not a remake of that film. The film premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
