David F. Sandberg Confirms Shazam! Fury of the Gods Wrapped Up Filming


Shazam! The sequel to the 2019 DC Extended Universe blockbuster Shazam! Fury of the Gods has officially finished production.

Shortly after the original film’s release in April 2019, it was revealed that a Shazam! a sequel was in the works, with director David F. Sandberg and screenwriter Henry Gayden returning. The title Shazam! Fury of the Gods was officially revealed during the DC FanDome virtual conference in August 2020. The film was supposed to be released on April 1, 2022. Fury of the Gods will now launch on June 2, 2023, owing to repeated delays caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

David F. Sandberg confirmed through this image that the filming of ‘SHAZAM: FURY OF THE GODS’ has officially ended.

Zachary Levi as Shazam, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Adam Brody as the superhero Freddy, Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley, and many more stars star in the sequel to “ShaShazam! Fury of the Godszam!”

The filming of “Shazam! Fury of Gods” began in early 2021, implying that the filming process took around 8 months.
