Doctor strange Vs Mysterio’s unused concept art in Spider-man: No Way Home was revealed. Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio would have been present for the final fight at the Statue of Liberty. With the return of Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Rhys Ifans’s The Lizard, and Thomas Hayden Church’s Sandman, Far From Home villain Mysterio was also originally set to appear in the final battle. Still, it is not clear Mysterio would have played a major role in the film or the concept art is really a multiverse mash-up to add hype. Mysterio is alive? Fans are just blowing their mind because it was never seen concept art yet released.

At the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Peter is able to call off the drones and we see Mysterio “die” after he’s shot by a misfiring machine. it just turns Spider-Man into a public enemy. You can also see more concept arts here.

No Way Home writer Chris McKenna explained in a recent interview with The Wrap about the concepts and involvement of characters.

“Originally we were writing this where Strange was gonna be involved but it was after the events of Doctor Strange 2, and so where is he where is his head, and so that’s something that we were kicking around,” McKenna said. “And then now it seems to be more of like, ‘Oh this actually gets him interested in pursuing the multiverse as a concept.'” McKenna also hinted Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio might appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jon Favreau, also Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as multiverse Spider-man.
