Drake sat down for a rare interview on Caffeine on Saturday night, following his performance in the Ultimate Rap League’s N.O.M.E. XI battle-rap tournament, where he bet $50,000 on the winner. According to XXL, Drake reacted to relentless questioning from hosts Nunu Nellz and Tsu Surf with an “I’ll be there” while mentioning a prospective rap duel between Murda Mook and Reed Dollaz taking place at the end of the summer. By then, my album will have been released.”
Drake wrote on Instagram, “I’m looking forward to releasing it with you all in 2021.”
The next album will be his sixth full-length studio album, and it will be the follow-up to “Scorpion,” which he released in 2018. Drake first hinted at a new album in April of last year, and it was originally planned to be released throughout the summer. Drake announced the album’s title, “Certified Lover Boy,” on August 14, along with the release of “Laugh Now Cry Later,” the first song from the new project, which featured Lil Durk.
