Dua Lipa has been granted Albanian citizenship. It was presented to her by President Barjam Begaj and Mayor Erion Veliaj on November 28. She took her Albanian passport photo and provided other biometrics for her citizenship. Check out the images below.
In a statement Albanian president, Barjam Begaj told Dua Lipa had given the greatest pride to us, Albania and Kosovo. The Albanian youth has you as an example and you have shown that dreams can be achieved by working harder and harder. You have brought all Albanians together.
He recognized ‘her talent, artistic spirit, her commitment in supporting social issues’ and advocating for Albanians worldwide.

Mayor Erion Veliaj told “Dua Lipa you are an incredible source of pride as a citizen of Albania, & a member of ‘Team Albania’. We thank you for understanding that no matter how far you go, your roots are here, & how you never hid your great love for Albania & Kosovo.”
