Dune: Part Two’ Production WIll Begin in Budapest on July 21. The pre-shooting will take place tomorrow in Italy. Dune: Part Two is a movie adaptation of Frank Herbert’s original novel and a sequel to Dune. It will adapt the second half of the novel.

Dune: Part Two stars Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides/Muad’Dib, Rebecca Ferguson as Jessica Atreides, Zendaya as Chani Kynes, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Stellan Skarsgård as Vladimir Harkonnen, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban Harkonnen, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat, and Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen Mohiam.

Denis Villeneuve told Collider in March 2022 that while the sequel script is “finished mostly,” it will “always be a work in progress” up until the film’s final cut. Plus, Villeneuve noted some “premises” in the first film will have to be “ignored” for the next installment. “I think I would say there’s more pressure with the second one in some ways,” the director summed up.

Dune: Part Two will hit theaters on 17 November 2023.
