Dwayne Johnson Debut His Official Rap

Tech N9ne’s latest track features Dwayne Johnson rapping. The Rock began his career as a WWE wrestler before moving on to films and television, with The Mummy Returns in 1999 being one of his earliest roles. Johnson has experimented in everything from family fare to extreme action flicks, serious TV series, and even a biographical sitcom since then, establishing himself as a household figure. This time, it’s for a different type of music: rap. Johnson has collaborated with Tech N9ne on the single “Face Off,” in which the actor shows off his rap skills. Yesterday, Johnson announced the project on Twitter, and today, Strange Music Inc published the entire music video, which has Johnson giving his vocals to a portion of the song near the conclusion. King Iso and Joey Cool also provide vocals to “Face Off,” which is finished off by Johnson.

Based on the popularity of the original film, the actor will also star in a sequel to Jungle Cruise. While several sequels to his other blockbusters, such as Jumanji and Black Adam, are practically guaranteed, it’s uncertain whether the actor would continue a rap career outside of this debut.
