Elizabeth Olsen is extending her MCU contract. Olsen’s next phase of projects in the MCU after signing a new contract has been released. In the new contract she signed for a Scarlet Witch Trilogy, Agatha: House of Harkness, I am Groot, and Avengers: Secret Wars Part 1 and Part 2.
It is confirmed that Olsen will continue for another 7 years. She first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron as a threat to Avengers later joined the Avengers team and also appeared as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019), as well as the miniseries WandaVision (2021).
Olsen will next appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. The film follows Dr. Stephen Strange, with the help of both old and new mystical allies, who travels into the multiverse to face a mysterious new adversary. The film is slated to release in theaters on May 6, 2022.
As renewing her new contract with Marvel, Olsen will continue as Scarlet Witch for the next 7 years. and in her upcoming projects, a sole Scarlet Witch film will also be included.
Olsen made her film debut in 2011’s thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene for which she was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, followed by a role in the horror film Silent House and Peace, Love & Misunderstanding, also in 2011. Two years later, Olsen was on the shortlist for the 2013 EE Rising Star Award, who was getting ready to star in Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake at the time and graduate from New York University.
