Eternals is now available on Disney+. With the release on Disney+ Fans now requesting Marvel to bring back Ikaris in Eternals 2. Eternals co-writer Kaz Firpo already confirmed that Ikaris commit suicide.
Ikaris was the former tactical leader of the community of genetically-engineered Eternals. Created by the Celestials in the World Forge, Ikaris and his fellow Eternals were sent to Earth in 5,000 BC to progress the planet’s societal development and protect it from the Deviants. Ikaris learned early on of his true purpose to help initiate the planet’s Emergence for the birth of Tiamut the Communicator, believing Earth to be a necessary sacrifice for more life to be created in new galaxies. While on his mission, he grew a close relationship with fellow Eternal Sersi and eventually married her.
Ikaris can manipulate gravitons to enable himself and others to levitate at speeds up to 850 miles per hour. Ikaris is said to be the fastest flier of all the Eternals. He also possesses telepathy, is able to cast low-level illusions, and can rearrange the molecules of other substances.
The Eternals cast includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as Phaistos, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Barry Keoghan as Druig, and Ma Dong-seok as Gilgamesh. also the film directed by Chloé Zhao.
