Evil Dead Rise is the HBO Max follow-up to 2013’s Evil Dead, which was a soft reboot of the supernatural horror genre of the same name. A road-weary Beth makes an overdue visit to her elder sister Ellie, who is raising three children on her alone in a small L.A. apartment in the sixth Evil Dead film. The sisters‘ reunion is cut short when a mysterious book is discovered deep within Ellie’s building, releasing flesh-eating monsters and forcing Beth into a primal fight for survival as she faces the most terrifying form of motherhood conceivable.
