Exclusive: Martin Freeman will return as Everett K. Ross in one episode of Marvel’s Secret Invasion series. Secret Invasion is a sequel to Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home. The six episodes series release date is slated for late 2022 or early 2023.
Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross appeared in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, and the sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is set to hit theaters on 11 November 2022. Freeman will next appear in Secret Invasion. Agent Everett Kenneth Ross is a CIA operative and a former Deputy Task Force Commander for the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre. While working with Thaddeus Ross, Ross was tasked to control and regulate any and all actions of the Avengers, in the wake of the creation of the Sokovia Accords, which had been designed to limit the heroics following several disastrous missions.
This series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos – characters who first met in Captain Marvel. The crossover comic event series showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years. the other cast includes Killian Scott as Fiz, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Rune Temte as Bron-Char, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Christopher McDonald, Noel Fisher, and Carmen Ejogo.
