Spider-man 4 Is In Active Development

Exclusive: Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios continue to extend the Spider-man deal. Tom Holland’s Spider-man 4 is now in active development.

Kevin Feige has confirmed Spider-Man 4 is happening and that Marvel Studios is “actively beginning to develop where the story heads next” after SpiderMan: No Way Home. Sony is now trying to make its own universe of Spiderman villains like Venom, Kraven The Hunter, and Morbius. This comes from when Marvel broke off plans to continue collaborating before agreeing to create Spider-Man: No Way Home. Discussions regarding Spider-Man 4 being in development, which might be the start of a new trilogy.

The extended contract between Sony and Marvel ended with new terms and conditions: under the renegotiated contract, Disney would co-finance 25% of a Spider-Man 3 for a 25% equity stake to Sony. and Holland’s Trilogy should bring back Spider-Man for another Disney/Marvel film, Sony also agreed to a reboot version of Fantastic Four or an Avengers 5.

Kevin Feige told in a recent interview with NYTimes:

“Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about — yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next, which I only say outright because I don’t want fans to go through any separation trauma like what happened after “Far From Home” [the previous Spider-Man movie, in 2019]. That will not be occurring this time.”

“At the end of the movie we just made [No Way Home], you see Spider-Man make a momentous decision, one that you’ve never seen him make before,” Pascal told the Times. “It’s a sacrifice. And that gives us a lot to work with for the next film.”

Jon Watts will be not directing ‘Spider-Man 4’. Jon is now completely focusing on Fantastic Four. Marvel and Sony will be hiring a new director for another Spider-man trilogy.
