First look at Kevin Smith’s ‘Masters of the Universe: Revelation’Part 1-The series, which is produced by Mattel Television, has Smith as executive producer and showrunner. The new Masters of the Universe, he said, is set up as the sequel to the original animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which aired from 1983 to 1985 and introduced He-Man and Skeletor from Mattel’s toy line (Mattel Television is a producer here).

Eternia is divided and the Guardians of Grayskull are dispersed throughout the new season, following a cataclysmic war between He-Man and Skeletor. Teela must reunite the shattered band of heroes and solve the mystery of the lost Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and avoid the end of the world after decades of mysteries ripped them apart. The voice cast includes Mark Hamill as the evil Skeletor, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Chris Wood as Prince Adam / He-Man, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, and Tiffany Smith as Andra. Liam Cunningham, Stephen Root, Diedrich Bader, Henry Rollins, Alicia Silverstone, Justin Long, longtime Smith collaborator Jason Mewes, Phil LaMarr, Tony Todd, Cree Summer, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Kevin Conroy also have voice roles.
