‘Ghostbusters’ fans would have wanted to have watched the next installment in the franchise dozens of times by now, but the film’s planned release date of July 2020 was postponed owing to the pandemic, watch the Ghostbusters: Afterlife first trailer below
The two-and-a-half-minute trailer for ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife,’ in which Paul Rudd plays a local school teacher in the town of Summerville.
Callie, a single mother played by Carrie Coon, and her two children, Mckenna Grace and ‘Stranger Things‘ actor Finn Wolfhard, live in the town. The kids quickly discover the family’s lost past at their Oklahoma farmhouse, which used to belong to their grandpa, one of the original Ghostbusters.
The film will follow the youngsters as they face a series of bizarre incidents that appear to be originating from an abandoned mine in a small village.
Despite the fact that the film is about a new generation of Ghostbusters, there will be some throwbacks. Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts will all make cameo appearances in the 2021 film as their original roles.
