The Guardians of the Galaxy game will ready to play from October 26, on PC and consoles, featuring a single-player action-adventure that is quite authentic to the Marvel heroes. We’ve already seen and spoken with the cast and crew of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. watch the trailer below
Consider the scenario. Five wandering strays meet on an identifying wheel on a space station. They are Peter Quill (Star–Lord), Gamora, Groot, Drax, and Rocket Raccoon, and they appear to have emerged from the galaxy’s final hole. Star-Lord takes a step forward and says hello “We are the Guardians of the Galaxy,” the officer in command responds. I’d never heard of them before.”
We do, however, know who they are. After appearing in comic books and two MCU films (with a third in the works), Marvel characters return to video games, as we saw them in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 on Nintendo Switch. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a collaboration between Marvel, Square-Enix, and Eidos Montreal (Shadow of the Tomb Raider), and it will be released for current consoles, PC, and next-gen systems on October 26. (PS5 and Xbox Series X).
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a single-player adventure that has been available on disc (or download) since its first release. There will be no game as a service, no online multiplayer, and no DLC. Are you more at ease now? So, turn on your ancient walkman, and let us tell you all there is to know about the game.
The game doesn’t aim to recreate any well-known storylines from movies or comic books, but it does have the same action-comedy tone as the group’s prior outings. Our protagonist, Star-Lord, may not have Chris Pratt’s face, but his design is quite similar to the character, and the likeness is even stronger in the aliens that join him: Drax the Destroyer, Gamora (with her complete lack of humor), Groot, and Rocket Raccoon.
“The guardians are in the greatest hands,” according to Dan Abnett (creator of the comics) and Bil Rosenman, vice president of Marvel Games. The narrative is wholly original, but if you’re curious about what they were inspired by, now is a good time to revisit the Annihilation comic series. This is excellent news because the cosmic scale is reclaimed in these superheroes’ escapades.
