Hulu's ‘Fresh’ Has Been Submitted for Emmy consideration

Fresh’ starring Daisy-Edgar Jones & Sebastian Stan is being submitted for Primetime Emmy consideration. According to Variety, While buzzy titles like “Bad Education” and three consecutive “Black Mirror” episodes dominated, the soulful purpose of the category has seemed to be missing. In 2021, there is only one film ‘Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square’ with five other nominees to have another Emmy nomination.

In the separation of TV movie and limited series categories in 1992, no traditional horror film was nominated in the category. ‘Fresh’ will be a new genre-limited series and will compete with HBO’s ‘The Survivor’ from Barry Levinson and Netflix’s animated feature ‘The House’.

Fresh‘ follows Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones), who meets the alluring Steve (Sebastian Stan) at a grocery store and — given her frustration with dating apps — takes a chance and gives him her number. After their first date, Noa is smitten and accepts Steve’s invitation to a romantic weekend getaway. Only to find that her new paramour has been hiding some unusual appetites.
