Interview with the Vampire Trailer: AMC Used a New Retelling of Anne Rice’s Novel Adaptation

AMC released the brand new trailer for ‘Interview with the Vampire’, which is based on a series adaptation of Anne Rice’s classic supernatural gothic novel of the same name. Watch the trailer below.

Interview with the Vampire is published in 1976 by Anne Rice, According to Collider, When Hollywood got its hands on Rice’s work in 1994, they turned it into a cult classic and critically celebrated film starring the likes of Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst, Christian Slater, Antonio Banderas, and Stephen Rea. And now, almost three decades later, fans are being kept on the edge of their seats awaiting the series version of the book-turned-film to drop. Although Rice passed away in 2021, she still had much of a hand in the series alongside her son Christopher Rice, with the two both acting as producers.

The series is written and executive produced by Emmy nominee Rolin Jones. it stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Bailey Bass, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Christian Robinson, Kalyne Coleman, and Maura Grace Athari.

The plot follows, Lestat de Lioncourt, Louis de Pointe du Lac, and a child vampire, Claudia. “Chafing at the limitations of life as a black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.”

Interview with the Vampire will premiere on October 2 on AMC and AMC+.
