Harrison Ford has been replaced late William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. Ford’s Ross will appear in the upcoming Captain America: New World Order. The film will hit theaters on May 3rd, 2024.

William Hurt first appeared as an Army general in 2008’s The Incredible. He also reprised his role as Secretary Ross in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, and last appeared in Black Widow. He died at the age of 71.

Harrison Ford Is The New Thunderbolt Ross

On the Hot Mic John Rocha, Jeff Sneider revealed that Harrison Ford will debut as “Thunderbolt” Ross in Captain America: New World Order. The film stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres/Falcon, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Harrison Ford as Secretary Thaddeus Ross, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra.

The film is directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. Captain America: New World Order will hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
