The third installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy is officially underway, with the film and holiday special planned to shoot simultaneously. Following the success of The Suicide Squad and the finishing of Peacemaker, writer, and filmmaker James Gunn returns to direct the Marvel project.
After being hinted in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 end credit scene, Adam Warlock is finally making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. The character will be portrayed by Will Poulter.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 plot is being kept under wraps, but we last saw them at the end of Avengers: Endgame, where Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Rocket (Cooper), and Groot (Vin Diesel) were joined by Thor (Chris Hemsworth) as they started searching for Gamora (Zoe Saldana). As Adam Warlock, Will Poulter joins the cast.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit the theaters on May 5, 2023.
