Jane Campion Commented on ‘Coda’ Winning Best Picture Over ‘The Power of the Dog’

CODA, Apple's famous Sundance acquisition that swept the festival's awards program and remains the finest film I've seen all year, has finally gotten its debut trailer.

Jane Campion recently commented on ‘Coda’ winning Best Picture over ‘The Power of the Dog’. he said the Academy has seen Coda really capture the hearts of people and Campion told BBC that he was happy about that.

Speaking to BBC UK, Jane Campion told responded to The Power of the Dog nominated for 12 Oscars but won only one. he said “With the Academy, it seemed that Coda really captured the hearts of people. It was an easier film to understand and, you know, that’s the way it went and I’m happy for them.”

The Power of the Dog is based on Thomas Savage’s 1967 novel of the same title. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

The film received ten nominations at the 27th Critics’ Choice Awards, winning four, including Best Picture, and received eight British Academy Film Awards
