Jason Momoa, who plays the King of Atlantis in the sequel, has unveiled his new appearance. Momoa shared photos of himself as Arthur Curry in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on Instagram. Momoa is dressed in a green and orange suit evocative of Aquaman’s classic comic book appearance in the first shot. Momoa’s Aquaman appears in a darker outfit in a second picture. According to Momoa, “The second round has begun. A new suit is revealed. In July, Momoa landed in London to start filming the sequel. check out below
At the upcoming second DC FanDome virtual event, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be represented. The film stars Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.
Aquaman 2 was announced in 2018, immediately after the massive success of Aquaman, which grossed $1.148 billion on a $200 million budget. Its surprise success made it the highest-grossing DC Extended Universe picture and the second-highest-grossing Warner Bros. film, trailing only Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 ($1.342 billion) in 2011.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will hit the theaters on December 16, 2022.
