John Wick 4 Has Begun Filming

With less than eleven months until the action sequel hits theaters, a new teaser image posted by actor Shamier Anderson on Instagram has confirmed that filming on John Wick 4 has begun. Keanu Reeves will reprise his role as the sharp-suited assassin, punching and shooting his way through the criminal underworld in Berlin, Paris, Japan, and back to the franchise’s home base of New York City. Chad Stahelski returns to direct, having co-helmed the first installment with David Leitch before going solo on the second and third installments, though regular scribe Derek Kolstad isn’t involved this time, with script duties falling to Army of the Dead’s Shay Hatten.

Ian McShane, a franchise veteran, has been confirmed to reprise his role as Winston, while Laurence Fishburne will reprise his role as the Bowery King from Chapter 3 – Parabellum. Shamier Anderson, who was recently seen in the claustrophobic Netflix sci-fi thriller Stowaway, will be joined by Rina Sawayama and Bill Skarsgrd, with veteran badassery provided by Hiroyuki Sanada and martial arts legend Donnie Yen. John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released in theaters on May 27, 2022
