Khamzat Chimaev not interested in the main event against Luke Rockhold

That comes as a bit of a surprise given how much nonsense Chimaev has been spewing over the last few weeks. Not only did “Borz” claim he was ready to “smesh” middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, but he also claimed he was chasing Jan Blachowicz at 205 pounds.Chimaev probably needs more practice with the Sunday comics. Despite a hot start to his UFC career that included three straight wins (and three consecutive finishes), the 8-0 Chimaev was knocked out by a nasty case of coronavirus. The illness not only put an end to his combat sports career, but it nearly forced “Borz” to retire.

According to Ariel Helwani, Khamzat Chimaev turned down not one, but two opportunities to face former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, including a five-round main event in August.
