Kim Kardashian appeared on the Met Gala 2022 red carpet on Monday in one of Marilyn Monroe’s most iconic dresses, a gold-beaded body hugger Monroe wore when she sexily sang happy birthday to President John F. Kennedy 60 years ago. The outfit is designed by Jean Louis and purchased in 2016 by Ripley’s Believe or Not! museum in Orlando, Florida, for a whopping $4.81 million. See the images below.
Kim Kardashian had lost a whopping 16 pounds in just three weeks in preparation for the star-studded event. Speaking to Vogue guest host La La Anthony, Kardashian told “It was like preparing for a role,” Kardashian, who also bleached her hair platinum blond and wore a white fur shrug to complete the look, said of her dedication to transforming into Monroe.
She also added that Ripley’s team “didn’t believe” she could do it, but the “challenge” made her even more committed.
In the outfit, Kardashian struggled walking and climbing the steps, also her new boyfriend Pete Davidson joined her.
