Kyle Massey Charged With A Felony

According to court records filed in June, Kyle Massey, who featured on the Disney Channel programs “That’s So Raven” and “Cory in the House” in the 2000s, has been charged with one count of immoral contact with a juvenile.

On June 14, a felony charge was filed in King County, Washington. The accusation comes after Massey was sued in early 2019 for allegedly sending a 13-year-old girl obscene photographs, texts, and videos. Intentional infliction of emotional distress, sending damaging content with the aim of seducing a juvenile, attempting to conduct a lewd act with a minor, and irritating or molesting a minor were all charges in the case.

The anonymous child claimed in the complaint that she met Massey when she was four years old and remained in touch with him because she wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Massey got acquainted with the girl’s family, according to the complaint, and suggested that she travel from Seattle to Los Angeles to live with him and his girlfriend. Massey “held himself up as a father figure” to the child, according to the complaint, and communication escalated in November 2018 when the girl expressed interest in a part on a relaunched version of “Cory in the House.” Massey allegedly sought to be the girl’s Snapchat buddy a month later. He sent her “several sexually explicit text messages, photos, and videos” immediately after. According to the lawsuit, the child is seeking at least $1.5 million in damages from Massey.

Massey failed to appear for his arraignment in King’s County on Monday, according to court papers.
