After a stunt rig mishap on the set of the sequel titled “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” actress Letitia Wright was hospitalized with minor injuries. “While filming a stunt for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Letitia Wright suffered minor injuries today. In a statement to Variety, a Marvel representative said, “Wright is now getting care in a hospital and is expected to be discharged shortly.”

The filming took place overnight in Boston, while the sequel to ‘Black Panther’ is being produced in Atlanta. The shooting schedule for the film is currently unchanged.

Wright initially appeared in the first ‘Black Panther’ film as Shuri, the brilliant scientist and younger sister of T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman. When Black Panther was released in 2018, the movie became a global smash, making over $1.3 billion globally. The film received three Oscar nominations for original score, costume design, and production design, making it the first superhero picture to be nominated for Best Film.

Letitia Wright also starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
