Lissette Feliciano’s ‘Women Is Losers’, Starring Lorenza Izzo, Chrissie Fit & Simu Liu Release Date Announced

Women Is Losers, the 1960s-set indie drama that the world debuted at this year’s SXSW and stars Lorenza Izzo, Chrissie Fit, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu has been acquired by HBO Max for North American distribution. The picture will now be released exclusively on the streaming service on October 18th.

The story is set in 1960s San Francisco and revolves on a once-promising Catholic schoolgirl (Izzo) who sets out to overcome poverty and invest in a future for herself that sets new standards for the period. The image was inspired by actual ladies and the song of the same name by Janis Joplin. Bryan Craig, Steven Bauer, Liza Weil, Cranston Johnson, Alessandra Torresani, Shalim Ortiz, and Lincoln Bonilla are among the other cast members.

Feliciano, who previously spoke about the project at Deadline’s SXSW Studio earlier this year, said, “We set out to produce a film that was as daring, hilarious, and honest as the women who inspired it.” “There is no better time in our country’s history for this video to reach the ladies of America,” says the filmmaker. This is a film that you’ll want to see with your family. HBO Max, who are recognised for their controversial and engaging programming, is the ideal partner for us. This film is a cross-generational narrative about never losing hope, no matter how great the hurdles are. In these performances, Lorenza Izzo, Chrissie Fit, Simu Liu, and Bryan Craig give their all.
