The multiverse would be formed after Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) arrived at the Citadel at the End of Time and encountered He Who Remains, the enigmatic and possibly evil entity who created the Time Variance Authority and lorded over the Sacred Timeline. Sylvie betrayed Loki and killed The Kang the conqueror, it made the multiverse into madness and it ends up with a timeline of the war.

Loki executive producer and director Kate Herron said two days after the show’s chaos-inducing finale was released on Netflix. “What occurred [between] when they met him and the birth of the universe was still a topic of discussion and effort for me, the authors, Michael [Waldron, the chief writer], and the studio…. “We got to do that, and it was such an honor to welcome him into the MCU.” Herron explained, “It was a tremendous secret to sit on.”
