Love And Death: Patrick Fugit Is Set As A Lead Opposite Elizabeth

Patrick Fugit (Outcast) will star in HBO Max’s Love and Death, a limited series based on the actual tale of Candy Montgomery’s 1980 murder of Betty Gore in Wylie, Texas. In the series, Olsen plays Montgomery, which is produced by Lionsgate Television and stars David E. Kelley and Nicole Kidman, the creators of Big Little Lies and The Undoing.

Love and Death are based on the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs by Kelley and a series of pieces from Texas Monthly (“Love & Death In Silicon Prairie,” Part I & II) directed by Homeland‘s Lesli Linka Glatter.
Two churchgoing couples in Texas are enjoying small-town family life until someone takes up an Axe.

Pat Montgomery is played by Fugit. Plemons reprises his role as Allan Gore, which he previously confirmed.

Fugit, who is most known for his performance in Cameron Crow’s Almost Famous, was most recently seen in Damien Chazelle’s First Man, which starred Ryan Gosling and debuted at the Venice Film Festival and TIFF this year. He previously appeared in Robert Kirkman’s Outcast, which aired on Cinemax for two seasons. The Gersh Agency and Levin/Brown Management represent Fugit.
