The film follows, “The rise and downfall of Chevalier de Saint-Georges, a French-Caribbean violinist and composer (sometimes referred to by the nickname “Black Mozart”) who rose to fame through his musical prodigy. But after falling out with Marie Antoinette and complicated love life, Saint-Georges finds himself falling down a French society he was once at the top of.”


Directed by Stephen Williams from a screenplay written by Stefani Robinson, the film is based on the life of the titular French-Caribbean musician Chevalier de Saint-Georges who is played by Kelvin Harrison Jr. The film also stars Samara Weaving, Lucy Boynton, and Minnie Driver and is set to be distributed by Searchlight Pictures.
