Lucy Liu has joined the cast of the upcoming holiday action-adventure comedy ‘Red One’ alongside Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans. The film is directed by Jumanji franchise director Jake Kasdan from a script written by Chris Morgan.
The film is described as a holiday action-adventure comedy that explores a whole new universe. The plot details are kept under wraps. The film is developed for Prime Video. Kasdan, Melvin Mar via the Detective Agency, Morgan via Chris Morgan Productions; Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, and Johnson through their Seven Bucks are producing. Sky Salem Robinson via The Detective Agency is co-producing.
Johnson and Jake collaborated on films Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level. Both films grossed $1.7 billion worldwide.
