Madeline Brewer Is Set To Star In a Psychological Horror ‘Pruning’

The Handmaid’s Tale star Madeline Brewer joined the psychological horror ‘Pruning’. Madeline stars opposite Peyton Kennedy, Anjali Bhimani, Jeremy Radin, Akilah Hughes, and Ben Gleib.

The film is directed by Lola Blanc, who co-wrote the script with Jeremy Radin. The film follows, a far-right political commentator Sami Geller (Brewer) discovers that her rhetoric has inspired a mass shooting. She must then contend with the part of herself that has a conscience.

The filming is underway in the Los Angeles area. Nick Paskhover and Chris Beyrooty producing. David Lawson, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead will also produce under their Rustic Films banner, with Brewer, Deric A. Hughes, and Elia Petridis serving as EPs. Brewer is represented by CAA and Schreck Rose Dapello.

Madeline Brewer is known for her role as Tricia Miller in the Emmy award-winning series Orange Is the New Black (2013), her role in Hemlock Grove (2014–2015), and her lead role as Alice/Lola in the Netflix horror film Cam. She stars as Janine Lindo in the Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale (2017–present), which earned her an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
