The moon knight was planned to introduce in the second season of Blade: The Series before its cancelation in 2006. After the cancelation, Marvel Studios announced spin-off series for the character Marc Spector.

Geektyrant reported In the comics, Marc Spector, a.k.a. Moon Knight, was a CIA agent turned mercenary where he made millions. His wealth from being a mercenary and investments land him anywhere between $50 million to $3 billion in net worth, granting him a suave Bruce Wayne-style life. Yet during his last mercenary job in Cairo, Spector was left for dead by a former colleague.

Spector dragged himself over the desert sands to Konshu’s tomb, the Egyptian moon deity. He was declared dead there but was revived by Konshu. He got multiple personality disorders as a result of his resurrection. He established two new characters, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley when he returned to New York. Lockley was a cab driver, whereas Grant was a billionaire womanizer.

He took up the mantle of Moon Knight once he had mastered his other identities. Even though Konshu provided Spector with enhanced physical powers and nightly prophetic visions, Spector was dubious whether Konshu was another personality he had created. Moon Knight still has a vast arsenal of technology, vehicles, and outfits at his disposal.

Moon Knight is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
