Manodrome: Will Be Starring Jesse Eisenberg

John Trengove’s Manodrome, which will be revealed at the Cannes virtual market, will star Jesse Eisenberg, Adrien Brody, and Riley Keough.

Ralphie, played by Eisenberg, is an Uber driver and aspiring bodybuilder who gets initiated into a libertarian masculinity cult and loses his grasp on reality when his suppressed urges are aroused. With Ben Giladi’s Rainmaker Entertainment, Felix Culpa’s Keough, Gina Gammell, and Ryan Zacarias are producing.


The domestic rights will be sold through CAA Media Finance, which provided the funding. Prior to Cannes, a worldwide rights agreement is said to be in the works.

Trengove is making his English-language debut after his Sundance and Berlin-screened Xhosa-language first movie, The Wound. Eisenberg is best recognized for his roles in the films The Social Network and Now You See Me.


Brody was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in The Pianist. Keough’s upcoming projects include A24‘s Zola and Amazon’s Daisy Jones & The Six.

CAA, Thirty Three Management, and The Lede Company are all involved in Keough’s representation. CAA manages Brody’s career. CAA and Independent Talent Group are Tengrove’s agencies. CAA is Eisenberg’s agency.
