Apple TV+ sci-fi series Foundation renewed for season 2. starring Marvel’s Lee Pace to reprise the role. The series, based on Isaac Asimov’s famous book series, premiered on Netflix last month, with Jared Harris from Chernobyl, Lou Llobell from Voyagers, and Alfred Enoch from Harry Potter among its cast.
The executive producer of the Foundation series David S Goyer said that to TV Line “Since my childhood, I’ve dreamed of how Hari Seldon and Eto Demerzel would look and sound – what Terminus and Trantor would feel like. “Now, with season two, our audience will get to visit more of Asimov’s indelible characters and worlds, including Hober Mallow, General Bel Riose, and all the Outer Suns. “I’m thrilled that a whole new generation of fans is reading Asimov’s brilliant masterwork. We’re playing the long game with Foundation and I’m grateful to my partners at Apple and Skydance for entrusting me with this epic. Buckle up. We’re about to fold some serious space.”
After Dr. Hari Seldon (Harris) predicts the Galactic Empire’s demise, the Foundation focuses on attempts to rescue civilization. As a result, a group of followers travels to the farthest regions of the galaxy to form The Foundation, whose mission is to restore and maintain civilization. The reigning emperor clones, on the other hand, are concerned that their control is eroding as they consider the possibility of losing their strong legacy.
