Mr. Corman: Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Mr. Corman, Apple’s original comedy series developed, directed, and starring Emmy and SAG Award winner Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is also participating as an executive producer, has received its long-awaited trailer. The first two episodes of the series will premiere on Apple TV Plus on Friday, August 6 in the United States, followed by a new episode every Friday.

Mr. Corman follows Josh Corman (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), an artist by heart but not by vocation, through his days and nights. His attempt to break into the music industry failed, and he now works as a fifth-grade teacher in a public school in the San Fernando Valley. Megan, his ex-girlfriend, left him and was replaced by Victor, his closest friend, who moved into his house. Despite the fact that he has plenty to be thankful for, in life, Josh struggles with worry, dissatisfaction, loneliness, and the feeling of being a loser.

This comedy-drama is sadly entertaining, emotional, and insightful, and it relates to today’s thirty-somethings: full of good intentions, impoverished by school loans, and eager to mature into genuine adults before they grow old.

Arturo Castro, Debra Winger, Bobby Hall aka Logic, Alexander Jo, Juno Temple, Jamie Chung, Shannon Woodward, and Hector Hernandez feature alongside Gordon-Levitt in the series.

Gordon-Levitt, who grew up on television with parts in a variety of shows, including his co-starring role in the NBC sitcom A Family of the Third Kind, makes his return to the medium.
