Netflix is delivering the thrills of a brand new film coming out next month, and the service is giving viewers a sneak peek of what to expect. Woman in the Window, starring Academy Award winner Amy Adams as an agoraphobic woman who thinks she witnesses a crime, is the film in question. On Thursday, Netflix released the official trailer for Woman in the Window, which you can watch in the video above!

Prior to being purchased by Disney, 20th Century Fox produced Woman in the Window. The film was originally planned to be distributed solely in theatres. Disney originally planned to open it in theatres, but the pandemic modified their plans. Woman in the Window was subsequently sold to Netflix with a worldwide premiere on their streaming service.

Since Netflix bought the rights to the film last year, fans have been waiting for it to be released. It was finally granted a release date of May 2021, as well as a new trailer.

Woman in the Window also features Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Fred Hechinger, Wyatt Russll, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Julianne Moore, in addition to Adams. Joe Wright directed the film, which was written by Tracy Letts. The film Woman in the Window is based on A.J. Finn’s best-selling novel of the same name.
