Olivia Wilde's "Don't Worry Darling" Sound Team Has Been Revealed

Olivia Wilde’s “Don’t Worry Darling” upcoming psychological thriller sound team has been revealed. The incredible team is Oscar Winner Skip Lievsay (Gravity, Roma, No Country For Old Men), Paul Urmson (Tragedy of Macbeth, Crouching Tiger), and 3-Time Oscar Nominee Steve Morrow (Ford v Ferrari, A Star Is Born).


“Don’t Worry Darling,” starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. The film follows a 1950s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community who begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets. Wilde’s “Booksmart” co-screenwriter Katie Silberman wrote the film based on an original script by the Van Dyke brothers. The other cast includes Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, and Chris Pine. Darren Aronofsky’s longtime cinematographer Matthew Libatique serves as cinematographer.

In an interview with Vogue, Olivia told that Don’t Worry Darling is the equivalent of “The Feminine Mystique on acid”, and was inspired by psychosexual thrillers like Fatal Attraction and Indecent Proposal.

“[Those movies are] really sexy, in a grown-up way,” Wilde said. “I kept saying, ‘Why isn’t there any good sex in film anymore?”


When pointing to the sex scene in the film, Olivia said she wants to make the audiences “realize how rarely they see female hunger, and specifically this type of female pleasure” on screens.
