Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz serve as showrunners, and James Bobin is directing. In a statement, Riordan previously told Percy Jackson and the Olympians that “filming has followed the book story very closely,” and the trailer sees elements pulled straight off the page and brought into live-action. Fans can see the demigods living in Camp Half-Blood and wearing their orange camp shirts, as well as sporting Greek armor for their competitions and tournaments, like “Capture the Flag.” The trailer also confirms a Camp Half-Blood closely adapted from the source material, being that it features the numbered cabins for each specific god’s children.

The series stars Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson: a young demigod, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase: the daughter of Athena who has been training at Camp Half-Blood for five years, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood: Percy’s best friend and a satyr who is disguised as a 12-year-old boy, Virginia Kull as Sally Jackson: Percy’s selfless mother, Glynn Turman as Chiron / Mr. Brunner: a centaur disguised as Percy’s Latin teacher, Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus / Mr. D: the head of Camp Half-Blood, and Megan Mullally as Alecto / Ms. Dodds: Percy’s stern mathematics teacher who serves the god Hades as one of the three Furies.
