Netflix released the first trailer for ‘Persuasion‘ starring Dakota Johnson, Cosmo Jarvis, and Henry Golding. the film is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel of the same name. directed by Carrie Cracknell from a screenplay by Ron Bass and Alice Victoria Winslow, Watch the trailer below.
Persuasion synopsis follows, “Living with her snobby family on the brink of bankruptcy, Anne Elliot is an unconformity woman with modern sensibilities. When Frederick Wentworth — the dashing one she once sent away — crashes back into her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to second chances. Adapted from the Jane Austen novel. The film takes a modern, witty approach to a beloved story while still remaining true to Jane Austen’s classic novel.”

The film stars Dakota Johnson as Anne Elliot, Henry Golding as Mr. Elliot, Cosmo Jarvis as Captain Frederick Wentworth, Suki Waterhouse, Richard E. Grant as Sir Walter Elliot, Nikki Amuka-Bird as Lady Russell, Ben Bailey, Izuka Hoyle, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Mary Musgrove, Nia Towle, Edward Bluemel, Lydia Rose Bewley, and Yolanda Kettle.
Persuasion will premiere on Netflix on July 15, 2022.
